This last year Dar Al Naim embarked on a new approach to her art. She got rid of vast amounts of her earlier work in an attempt to cleanse the past and prepare for the future, for a new period of meticulous creation. This splintering with the past was done live on Instagram about 3 month ago. She held a conversation during the destruction that gave access to her inner workings, an honest window into her thoughts and also produced an important commentary of the relation of an artist with their work, it’s meaning in time, how it can also restrain you and much more. Fortunately, not all is gone. Dara Art Gallery had the privilege to acquire a special selection of works which will be displayed before we get into her new era. This month we will gradually show the works in this selection. These are accompanied in many instances with a message on the back. Feast your eyes!
